Summer 2026 Camp Instructor Positions
The Illinois MakerLab is hiring two summer camp instructors to lead our five youth camps running June–July 2026. Work with kids ages 10–17, teach them to design and make real things, and spend your summer in one of the most creative spaces on campus.

Both Positions
- Dates: May 25 – July 31, 2026 (orientation week + 8 camp weeks)
- Hours: 20 hours/week
- Location: BIF 3030, Gies College of Business, UIUC
- Camp hours: AM sessions (9 AM – 12 PM) or PM sessions (1 – 4 PM) — one instructor per shift, no overlap
- Actual hours: AM instructors arrive by 8:15 AM for setup. PM instructors may need to stay until 5:00 PM if a camper opts for late pickup.
- Non-camp hours: 3D printer maintenance, client orders, camp prep, lab operations
