Volunteering at the makerlab

The Illinois MakerLab is privileged to have volunteers that help us with various aspects of lab operations, workshops, internal marketing, social media, and more. We always welcome interest from people who are looking to help out with our mission to help the entire Champaign-Urbana community to Learn, Make, and Share! Volunteers at the lab aid in running day to day activities and events while developing new skills in 3D Printing, 3D Design, 3D Scanning and more!

Additionally, we are happy to convert some of our volunteers into part-time employees based on our needs and the availability of positions. This includes working as a MakerLab Guru, who are the individuals in charge of working our open hours and running our 3D printing, scanning, and design workshops.

Volunteers get to work on special projects, besides helping with daily operations and events.

Meet Our Volunteers

Raghava

Hello! I'm Raghava, and I'm excited to introduce myself as a passionate individual with a strong desire to contribute to the MakerLab community. Over the years, I've gained valuable experience in 3D printing through the orthopedic field, and I believe that volunteering at MakerLab is the perfect opportunity for me to apply these skills and knowledge to support the maker community. My ambition is to actively engage with the MakerLab team and fellow volunteers, collaborate on creative projects, and inspire others to explore their interests in the world of making. I look forward to being a part of this vibrant community and making a positive impact together!
